It's the end of December 2022 and we finally took a break from the beautiful, yet demanding production of the first soy candle, which sold out in two batches in a few days. The first collaboration between Biela Laba and Fraela and it gave us so much. We were finally able to get to know each other, try new techniques and delight many candle lovers. The feelings from the collaboration remained satisfied, but also empty and the desire to fulfill them grew.
It taught us a lot. The assignment resulted in something that was a bit outside of our creative process, but we were still involved.
Katka
It is January 2023.
And in the new year, it would seem that we wake up with a clear head and new visions. Winter has not even really started yet, but we already feel a little bit of a longing for spring.
The assignment for Bieła Laba was related to this feeling we had after a burst of energy. Katka and Linda took on the task and started experimenting. The first attempts were subtle, gentle, trying out colors against each other.
Suddenly we got word that something had happened in the furnace. Something they hadn't expected. And another round of experiments began.
Like a kindergartner
"Kiln openings can be exciting as a kindergarden, but sometimes unpleasant. Different transformations happen in that kiln at different temperatures. And we didn't expect that purple, pink, and various combinations of them would turn into brown. That wasn't what we wanted to achieve."
"We know how each color reacts individually, but we don't know exactly how the colors react to each other. We had to find the right combination of colors. We did more tests. There were more rounds. And then we figured it out. And here they are. "
Each piece is a small colorful universe.

Coincidence or intention?
"With the new collection, we approached it from a new perspective. We allowed ourselves to be more spontaneous. The moment of chance dominates the creation of the cup. The process was not completely under control, but I was able to complete it and that was fun," said Linda.
Behind the entire process of making the cup are Katka and Linda from Bielá Laba. They only recently joined forces, and how do they see themselves as colleagues?
"We weren't close friends before. We got to know each other a lot." Linda is learning to be spontaneous with Katka, and Katka is learning to use a diary. Over time, trust has built up between us, we communicate a lot, laugh, understand each other, and share. When it resonates like this, even with you, it's a great feeling."
Fraela candles
We're back to making soy candles. This time, we've chosen a fresh white tea scent that will bring a burst of spring breeze into your home.
It's great that we can continue to collaborate with amazing local creators and also launch accessories under our brand.
Why is that? Fraela is not just about natural cosmetics, it is also about feeling satisfied and beautiful and about the present moments that make us happy and fulfilled. Let's connect with these feelings in our lives and we would like to move forward in this direction...
