We wear lipstick often – some every day, some on special occasions. Regardless of how often you use it, it's good to know what you're putting on your lips . They are much more sensitive than the rest of your skin and directly absorb substances they come into contact with.

That's why at Fraela we created a lipstick that is not only beautiful on the outside - but also truly comfortable and functional on the inside.

What does natural composition mean in practice?

Natural lipstick doesn't mean it's "just free of chemicals" - because water is also chemicals. It means that:

• The base is made of vegetable oils and waxes , which naturally nourish and protect the lips.
• The color is provided by mineral pigments with a naturally beautiful effect. Our pigment supplier is a member of PETA and has zero tolerance for cruelty to animals, children and people.
• The fragrance is provided by a delicate aroma of 100% natural origin, composed of raw materials accepted by Ecocert in the composition of certified organic cosmetics.
• Each ingredient has its own meaning – no fillers, only active ingredients.

The composition of our Fraela lipsticks

Our lipsticks are built on the philosophy of functional natural care. Each ingredient has its own meaning and real benefit for the lips. Nothing extra, nothing unnecessary:

• Castor oil – for elasticity and shine

• Plum, peach, apricot, pomegranate oil – rich in antioxidants, they help keep lips hydrated by locking in moisture

• Fractionated coconut oil – for smooth glide

• Candelilla and carnauba wax – vegan alternatives to beeswax

• Vitamin E – protects lips and the product itself from oxidation

• Mica and mineral pigments – safe and beautiful natural colors

• Natural aroma – gentle fragrance without irritation

What about regular lipsticks?

Modern synthetic cosmetics have been thoroughly tested and many of their ingredients are safe. However, some controversial substances are still used in conventional lipsticks. At Fraela, we avoid them because we have better alternatives available that are gentler and more suitable for sensitive skin.

• Paraffinum Liquidum (mineral oil)
  What it's used for: An inexpensive base in cosmetics.
  Why we don't use it: It is a petroleum derivative that has no nutritional value. While its cheap price can be advantageous in some commercial products, we choose to use natural ingredients that provide complementary nutrition while respecting the health of the skin .

• Artificial colors (e.g. Red 6 Lake)
  What they are used for: To achieve a rich color.
  Why we avoid them: They can be irritating and may not be optimal for sensitive skin.

• Synthetic perfumes
  What they are used for: To create a pleasant scent.
  Why we avoid them: They tend to be a source of allergens and their ingredients aren't always transparent. This can be a problem for people with sensitive skin .

• Carmine (CI 75470)
  What it's used for: To achieve a rich, cool red color
  Why we don't use it: Carmine is of animal origin , obtained from the dried bodies of the insect Dactylopius coccus , which is found in South America. Therefore, it is not vegan. For those who have opted for vegan cosmetics, it is an unsuitable choice.

➡️ All of these substances are legal and many are commonly used, but we decided that we could offer more - without compromise .
